I'm in a bit of a quandary over a recent call I received, and I can't quite figure out whether it was a legitimate concern or just another dodgy scam. The caller claimed that my internet would be cut off within a day due to some hacking involving my WiFi and IP address. To add to my unease, my two sons have experienced unauthorized withdrawals from their bank accounts recently. The whole thing was automated, and when I was given the option to select a number, I only caught the first part - it had something to do with BT. I must admit, I was taken aback by the notion that we might have been “hacked”, and it left me rather bewildered. Has anyone else received a call from this number? Any insights on whether it's the real deal or if I’m just being pulled into a scam?
