While I was out, my 92-year-old mother-in-law answered a phone call. She believed it was from the local council's department. They offered her a wheelchair that she actually needs, plus a mattress and an electric scooter, which she said no to. Apparently, there’s a wheelchair delivery scheduled for today, but we plan to refuse it. No mention of any charges or payment info was given. Honestly, I’m not sure what to expect when they show up.

Got a call from someone saying they were from Mobility about a previous call they claimed to have made. Told them I never got any earlier calls. They then said I was on their list after some hip or knee operation. I've never had surgery on either! Definitely a scam.

Got a call from a woman looking for a Mrs Milburn, who’s never lived here. Obviously a total scam just to start talking. I quickly told her to take my number off their list and warned her I’d report the call. She then got all annoyed at me for being “rude and abrupt”! When I asked what the call was about, she just hung up. Such scammers… these calls are so annoying and seem aimed at older or more vulnerable folks. Proper harassment. I’ve blocked the number now.

This scam's been going on ages - I got a call from this same woman like 4 years back. I never said yes to any of her mobility gear deals though. Every time, I’d end the chat by telling her she could ring again in about a year to check if my situation was different. I genuinely believed she was a legit mobility rep. Not sure she’ll get the same response if she calls again!
