Claimed to be calling from the UK today and mentioned they'd obtained my name from a publicly available database.

I received a call from a spammer that went dead after a few rings, leaving me with nothing but static. I've had five different numbers trying to get through to me since then!

Seems like I've encountered yet another dodgy call, now permanently ignored. I've decided only to respond to those whose numbers I'm familiar with. Honestly, I'm fed up with being bombarded by these scams on a daily basis!

This is a definite nuisance! The call went straight to voicemail, and an unmistakably over-the-top American accent blared, “Feel free to return our call at the number you see here, cheers!” I have no clue who’s behind it, but it’s crystal clear that it’s a call I could do without.
