It appears that this number is associated with some shady characters or fraudsters masquerading as Microsoft representatives. It's worth noting that Microsoft would never initiate unsolicited calls like this; it would violate their privacy policies. I recommend checking out a site named 'ACTIONFRAUD' - they have a dedicated area that deals with scams like these feigned Microsoft calls. By informing Action Fraud about this, you'll contribute to a nationwide effort to compile information and combat this type of scam once and for all.

This number just called our mobile!

A group of rather posh-sounding blokes rang me up, insisting they were from a Windows Service Provider linked to Microsoft, claiming my computer was riddled with hundreds of nefarious hacking files that only they could eliminate with access to my system. Oh, really? When I pressed them for more details, they promptly ended the call. I tried to ring them back, requesting to speak with Mark Albert. The chap who picked up sounded a tad too similar to the one I’d just spoken with, but then he transferred me to another person altogether, whose voice was completely different. He attributed it to some 'glitch' in the line. The only glitch here is in the integrity department, my friend!
