Got a call from a number I didn’t recognise, so I’ve just gone ahead and blocked it.

I stayed silent when they called, and they just ended the call straight away. Maybe they should find a proper job instead.

This bloke kept saying they worked with government benefits and life insurance. When I asked for their website, he passed me onto someone else. Asked again for the site and they said they didn’t have one but could send an email instead. Right, like I’m falling for that. Honestly, they must think we’re daft.

I received a call from someone claiming to be with the benefits agency, presumably the DWP. But when I mentioned that I actually work for DWP (which is the case), they promptly hung up on me. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!
