Got a call today from someone who sounded Indian, saying they could help me find a job. They even asked about how much I’m earning right now. I’ve got a block system on my phone with my provider to stop calls like this, but it doesn’t seem to work at all. Who are these lot and why aren't they being blocked properly? It’s so annoying!

They’ve tried ringing me again after a few weeks but since I’ve got my answerphone on it seems they don’t bother leaving a message. So yeah, it’s just a pointless bother for all involved. I can’t really call it harassment, so for me they remain just an unknown number.

This is the third occasion I’ve noticed a call from some unknown number, trying to get hold of me. Luckily, it’s only ever gone to my voicemail. They mentioned something about Ideal Home Services, which seems familiar - I think I had a similar call back in January. Got a call from this number on 29th May. It showed up as local, which made me curious, but just like what others have said, when my answerphone kicked in, the line suddenly dropped.
