It really makes one wonder, what on earth are the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) and the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) actually doing about this? Not to mention Action Fraud! Just last week I was bombarded with nonsense from scammers pretending to be from Amazon, using various 07303 numbers. It's utterly ridiculous! I've registered with Ex Directory and TPS, yet here I am, still receiving these nuisance calls. What’s the point of these measures if I’m still inundated with such rubbish?

Got a call from 02084547463 saying it was BT Broadband, another scam! These BT broadband fraud calls are everywhere. Seriously, what do the TPS or ICO actually do? And what about Action Fraud? Just last week, I was getting loads of calls from 07303 numbers pretending to be Amazon - all ex-directory and even though I'm on the TPS. Feels like it doesn’t even make a difference.

I’ve just had a right nuisance with BT Broadband scammers! Another dodgy number popped up - 02084547463, yet again trying to pull a fast one. Honestly, what are the likes of TPS and the ICO actually doing about this? Not to mention Action Fraud. Just last week, I was plagued by Amazon fraudsters using those 07303 numbers. I got a call from this number, the person said there was a problem with my internet that had been going on for days, which was rubbish because it's been fine for at least two weeks. I told him I’m not with BT and then either they hung up or the line dropped, probably because there's some roadworks nearby messing with the connection. Pro tip: don't ever hand over your details. If they’re calling you, they should already know who they’re speaking to. Usually they just hang up when you ask them for proof of who they are, which is quite funny really!

Some woman called, said she was with BT Openreach and working out of 81 Newgate Street in London. She told me my broadband speed had dropped. I played along just to find out what was up. Then she handed me over to a bloke from the tech team, who admitted they were both based in Bangalore. He tried to get me to log into teamviewer[###], which is legit but would give him access to my PC if I let him. When I said, “This seems dodgy, I’ll be reporting this to Action Fraud,” he lost his temper, called me a rude name, and hung up. At least I managed to waste about 15 minutes of their time!
