Yesterday my daughter picked up a call from someone claiming it was about our washing machine’s appliance care warranty, saying mine had expired. Today, the same person rang me again, insisting I had to renew my warranty with a £99 payment. I normally pay monthly and can’t afford a lump sum like that. When I said no and asked for something in writing, he let out a grumble. There’s no way I’m paying anything just on a phone call! I doubt he’ll send anything anyway, and I actually have a current letter from the legit warranty company, so I was certain this was just a scam!
