Got a call from this number about renewing washing machine service, saying they had a special deal for another year. Utterly ridiculous Indian scammers with their incessant calls! They persistently ring me, insisting that I've been involved in a motor vehicle accident. To deal with this nonsense, I've set up a rather dodgy email address with an exaggerated Indian name. I’ve taken to stringing them along, spinning elaborate tales. I tell them I was cruising in a swanky BMW or a posh Mercedes, pulling a registration number from Autotrader. It gets even more amusing when I claim a recently arrived Indian lady was behind the wheel of a £150,000 G Wagon that belongs to her affluent white boyfriend-it's almost as if I can visualise their disapproving head wobbles! I concoct stories of being battered and bruised, claiming I'm consulting every doctor from here to Delhi. I carry on this charade for a good 20 to 30 minutes until they hand me off to a so-called ‘Senior’ operator, who reads back all my tall tales, at which point I throw a curveball and unleash a barrage of Indian insult videos I've discovered online. What a laugh!
