I told him if I had genuinely applied for a private course, I would’ve been all over that and would have sorted my first payment via direct debit. Suddenly, he was gone from the line. Fast forward to two weeks later, and he tried his luck again. I told him, “Look Terry, or should I call you Shaw? Couldn’t you come up with a less dodgy name than the Shaw Academy?” Still unbothered, he insisted that he just wanted to confirm my subscription and needed my bank details once more. When he mentioned my old card info, I pointed out it’s ancient-over eight years old and long expired!
