Today, 8th January 2024, I got a call from this number but luckily I have Call Guardian set up. It didn’t leave any voicemail so the call never actually connected to me, which was a relief. Still, it’s pretty irritating when your phone rings and then cuts off abruptly like that.

Received a call claiming to be from the government concerning our boiler. The chap claimed to be calling from Manchester. When I asked him to communicate via written correspondence, he provided me with an address I haven’t used in ages. I firmly told him to cease his scamming attempts. He went to great lengths to assure me he was legitimate, but then admitted he was actually calling from India. I managed to keep him on the phone for a solid twenty minutes (that's a good chunk of time he wasn’t defrauding anyone else). In the end, he gave me his so-called "phone number" along with a date for another chat this evening!
