Got a call from someone with a really thick accent claiming it was about insurance fraud. Weird thing was, the number showed up as a Nottingham landline, which seemed odd to me. Felt a bit off, like a scam or something fishy going on.

i got a call from someone with an asian accent claiming to be from some sort of benefits dept, wanting to have a chat about life insurance. i told them the person they asked for had passed away and to just go ahead and send the payout. around that point, the caller got pretty rude, which just made me laugh even more, and then they ended the call abruptly.

got a call that rang a couple of times back to back, picked up and asked if it was urgent, they just asked when would be a better time to ring again, so clearly it wasn't anything urgent. ended the call and no clue who it was.

Just like the last person, this caller mentioned the benefits office before bringing up life insurance. I told him he shouldn’t be ringing me since my number’s on the telephone preference service, and he just replied, “I know.” What a joke!

A person rang me up saying they were from some charity asking for donations. I told them no thanks and hung up straight away. It’s not that I’m against giving, I just don’t trust giving money over the phone or online, feels dodgy. I prefer to donate to local charities in person instead.
