I saw the number looked like a proper landline so I decided to answer, even though I didn’t know who it was. I said hello a few times but nobody spoke back, so I just hung up. After looking up the number here, I added it to my "do not pick up" list now.

My husband got a call from someone claiming to be with the pension ombudsman, but he was really suspicious because the caller spoke with a thick Asian accent. When I looked up the number online, the top result was in Arabic, which made us think it was probably a scam. Definitely wouldn’t trust that call.
