Claiming to be from Curry’s PC World. Definitely not them. I don’t buy anything there and never shared my info with them. Total scam. Seriously, can’t folks find something better to do than rip people off? 🤬

This caller raised a few red flags and came across as rather overbearing. They claimed to represent a financial service of sorts. I didn’t hesitate to block the number immediately.

I got a call from 01156668019 just moments ago. A woman spoke, claiming to be from the "Independent Financial Department." She told me not to worry and then asked if I hold any life insurance. I told her I don't and, feeling it was dodgy, I told her I wasn't interested and ended the call.

I picked up the phone and said hello, then after a brief pause, a recorded voice came on saying HMRC is issuing a warrant against me and to prevent it I should press 1 to speak to someone. I obviously didn’t press anything since I knew it was a scam, and after about a minute the call just ended.

Got a call about life insurance, saying they were doing an annual check-up, but when I asked for my insurance company’s name, they said their system wasn’t working and they didn’t have all the info. When I told them I felt suspicious and thought it was a scam, they got really defensive and kept pushing me to listen. The call started with a South African accent but switched to an Indian one as soon as the argument kicked off!!
