Someone phoned claiming to be from Ovo Energy, which happens to be my provider. He wanted to switch my tariff even though I'd already sorted that myself on their website. I told him straight up I didn’t believe him and mentioned my number is on the TPS list. He said he was sorry about that but kept pushing. I repeated I didn’t trust the caller and told him I was going to hang up.

This was surely a scam call. They already had my name, address, and mobile number, even though I’m on the TPS register. I ended up filing a complaint. The person was super rude, even chuckling when I told them I’m happy with my current provider. They tried to question why I’d pay such high fees. I just hung up and have blocked the number now!

On 14/05/2021 around 1 in the afternoon, I got a call from 01156660585. The person on the other end sounded Indian and wanted me to verify my name, which I refused. He claimed the call was about my energy tariff and even named the one I have at the moment. I didn’t agree to anything and quickly told him I didn’t want to continue the conversation before hanging up. That number’s definitely blocked now.
