I'm certain this isn't a genuine number for HMRC! They would never send a voicemail like that. It's clearly a scam! I can confidently say that there's no way I'm under any sort of tax evasion probe.

Got a robocall saying HMRC is looking into me and I need to ring them back. Totally a scam, don’t fall for it.

Some lady rang up saying she was from a phone company and that they could help reduce my bill. She tried to go on about checking the line to see if I was eligible, but I just cut her off and hung up straight away.

At first, I thought it was a real person on the other end, but then I caught on it was just some sort of automated message that tries to act like it’s listening to you. The recording claimed to be Susan from an accident firm, asking if I’d been involved in any crashes. Didn’t buy it, so I just ended the call and blocked the number straight away. Another dodgy one to add to my blocked list.
