Con artist alert! Stay vigilant, everyone!

I received a call claiming they could reduce my O2 contract by a generous 30%. However, I have this notification set up that alerts me whenever O2 tries to reach me, so naturally, I was a bit wary.

I received a rather persistent call attempting to persuade me to “enhance” my O2 SIM after shifting over from Virgin. They wouldn’t relent, repeatedly urging me to divulge my account information. Quite the nuisance, if you ask me!

O2 scam alert - just got blocked!

Someone was masquerading as O2. Just within an hour, I found that a new mobile was ordered on my account. Thankfully, when I contacted O2, they handled the situation exceptionally well.

Received a call purporting to be about an upgrade with O2. Unfortunately, I ended up getting duped and lost access to my account. Thankfully, the fraud team at O2 managed to reinstate it, but they discovered that someone had placed an order for an iPhone 15 Max Pro in my name. It's a stark reminder to trust your instincts and to be cautious with sharing personal information.

Had a dodgy experience with O2. They attempted to ring me earlier today from the number 01156474283 – clearly linked to the same outfit.

I received two calls from this number, but each time they hung up on me. My phone identified it as suspected spam, so I’ve decided to block them.

Claimed to be from O2, mentioning issues with my SIM card following their merger with Virgin Media. They suggested I could get a reduction on my monthly payment but insisted that I set up a new O2 account, despite my current one functioning flawlessly. Clearly a total SCAM – exercise caution!

The caller claims to be representing Three Mobile, yet it turns out to be some sort of scammer, likely an Indian or Pakistani woman.

I didn’t catch the call, and there was no voicemail left behind. My phone flagged it as spam, so I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number for good measure.
