I received a call from someone purporting to be from EE, but they seemed utterly clueless about the specifics of my contract. They went on about offering me an iPhone 15 Pro Max for just £20 a month. I found it quite amusing, especially since I’ve already got that very model! 😂😂😂 Decided to end the conversation right there. Total nuisance!

I received a call from someone claiming to be with 3, suggesting they were keen to extend a 35% discount as a token of appreciation for my loyalty. They then proceeded to pitch a new phone, but I politely declined, mentioning I was quite content with my current one. When they pressed for details about my phone, I admitted I couldn't recall which model it was-though I assumed they had that information in their records. He assured me he did, then abruptly ended the call!

Yet more so-called ‘scammers’ using the Twilio platform - which seems to be a hotbed for these fraudsters. These Irish scammers are peddling VoIP lines and disguising themselves as folks from various UK regions, employing foreigners to trick unsuspecting people. It’s blatantly against their licensing, isn’t it? Why hasn’t the government taken action to close them down? Today alone, I’ve had several annoying calls from similar numbers - all foreign - all claiming to be from O2, EE, Vodafone and the like, trying to con you!

Got a call from someone claiming to be Mary, said she was ringing from my network, Vodafone. I told her I don’t even use Vodafone, and she just ended the call straight away. Well, that’s a first. Goodbye Mary!

They called me pretending to be from my mobile provider saying they had special offers and deals, but it was definitely a scam.

Lots of annoying calls come through Twilio, which is meant to be a VOIP platform but seems to be full of scammers and spammy numbers. I’ve seen lots of folks moaning about constant spam calls, accounts getting blocked or even suspended, and really rubbish support from them. Definitely not a good experience. This ain't got nothing to do with Twilio. It's some Indian scammers ringing from Mumbai with fake numbers. If you get any dodgy calls, just report them by texting 7726.
