I have a strong inkling that this was a dodgy operation. They went on about being associated with O2 and were trying to sell me some sort of discount. They kept asking for my email address and were incredibly pushy. I happened to be out doing some shopping when they rang, so I suggested they reach out to me later in the day. But wouldn't you know it, no one bothered to call me back at the promised hour. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

Received a call this morning purporting to be from O2, although it seems they’ve also been masquerading as Three and Vodafone based on what I’ve read elsewhere. Just yesterday, I got a call from another number claiming to be O2, so I decided to ring up O2 directly to verify, and they informed me it’s likely a scam. I went ahead and modified a few details on my account just to be safe. Since that initial call, I've been harassed by six different numbers, including this one, with an additional twelve calls piling on since then. They really are tenacious, aren’t they? This time I made it abundantly clear I was aware they weren’t O2 and firmly told them to shove off (politely put, of course). I’ve successfully blocked every one of those numbers so far. What a bloody nuisance!

I mentioned that the last time I encountered a similar situation, it turned out to be a scam, and quicker than you could blink, they hung up!

Watch out - definite scam! They claim to be from Vodafone, tempting you with 30% off your bill and a brand new iPhone. It’s obviously a credit card fraud; if you go along with it, they’ll probably try to sneakily charge a small fee for the phone or shipping to your card. I’m pretty sure they’ll then want your card details, like the number, expiry, and CVV. If this number rings you, hang up straight away.
