Not sure if I'm giving this caller too much credit, but the whole thing felt a bit odd. They said they were ringing from Harts Estate Agent, asking about how the sales and viewings were going for a place I used to live in years ago - with my parents no less, so I wouldn't have been selling it or involved whatsoever. That house is actually up for sale right now, and of course I had a quick nosey on Rightmove, so maybe that's where they got my details from. Once I told them I wasn’t the seller, they tried to see if I wanted a valuation on my current home, which I quickly declined. The person was polite, but I just can’t understand why my phone number would be linked to that property unless they’d got hold of info through some sort of sketchy data scraping.

Got a call from someone saying they were from ‘Hearts’ wanting to know about the progress of my house sale. I’m not even putting my place on the market, so I told him if he was just fishing for info, he should try somewhere else. Then I hung up and blocked the number straight away.
