7 yearsHad a recorded message on my phone that sounded really professional, with a proper English accent. It said it was from BT and that my internet had been hacked, warning me not to use any internet or online banking until I spoke to their “security team.” They asked me to press 1 to get through to BT security. I just hung up straight away, knowing it was a scam, and later checked with BT who confirmed it was indeed fake.
