Said they were from some debt assistance company. Asked for my dad by his name, but he’s been dead for more than five years. The guy spoke with a Glaswegian accent, but the number showed up as Argentina. I’ve reported it to both the police and BT. Total scammers and fraudsters.

Loads of calls from this number and others with the same pitch about "energy assessments" or "boiler replacements". I've told them multiple times to take me off their list, but they keep phoning anyway... I'm on the TPS register - but that doesn't seem to bother them at all. I've now reported it to the ICO through their site. It was quite straightforward to do, and I'd recommend others to report too. ico.org.uk. If it’ll actually do anything? Not sure...

I've had this number continuously ringing my home, asking for someone who doesn’t even live here. When I inquired about who they were, the caller became rather rude and simply cut the line. I tried using 1471 to trace the call, but it came back saying the number is unavailable. Quite peculiar, isn't it?

Got a call again from the same lady, but this time the number was 01698 313250 (Motherwell area) and she was looking for Mrs #######, saying something about a 'free home energy check'.

picked up call and a bloke asked if i was mr so-and-so, i told him no since i'm a woman, then he just hung up on me. a few seconds later, phone rings again, this time a scottish lady asks if i'm mrs whatever, i say yes and she immediately ends the call. tried ringing back but the number didn’t come up, so i changed my phone to outgoing calls only since no use getting these.
