Received a call earlier from someone attempting to masquerade as being from Google. When I directly inquired whether they represented Google, they denied it outright. I requested to be taken off their list, but they informed me it was impossible. I pointed out that such a practice is illegal. At that point, I ended the conversation and promptly blocked the number. Typically, I don’t bother reporting calls, but given their refusal to comply with my request, I felt it necessary to report them to the ICO. Interestingly, they didn’t even provide a company name!
