Complete con job, claiming they’d sorted out PPI compensation with my bank for £2550 plus £1550 interest. When they asked which bank I used, I told ’Bank of Paris’ - which isn’t real - and they didn’t catch it. Then they gave me a reference and an ID number, saying they wouldn’t ask for any bank or card details, and mentioned the money was in some kind of wallet? After that, they passed me on to another person with an Asian accent who wanted the ID and ref numbers - I fed him fake ones. More to come...
