Just got a call about some diesel emissions compensation thing, but the number looked dodgy to me. The person mentioned a really old registration plate from a car I used to own, but when I asked where they were calling from, they wouldn’t say. The moment I pressed for details about the company, the line went dead. The caller spoke with a foreign accent and I could hear a lot of background chatter that also sounded like other people with similar accents, so I reckon it was a call centre.
