I got a call from someone named Helen, said she was from my energy supplier and wanted to discuss my energy use. When I asked why she was calling from over 200 miles away, she had no clue. She also couldn’t tell me which company I was supposedly with. She went on about some “Government grants” for home insulation and said if I took the grant, insulating my loft would be around £1500. When I asked to be removed from their database, she claimed the Data Protection Act didn’t apply to her firm because they worked on Government contracts. Felt like a total rip-off to me.

Received a ring from 01146 972863 - a woman identifying herself as Helen, claiming to be our 'Local Home Energy Advisor'. Her voice is quite distinctive, and I'm fairly certain it's the same person who rang me on 8th June 2023 from a different number, 02922-715132. She's previously called under various names and tends to cut off the conversation if you start probing about her affiliations. Over the past nine months, I've received numerous calls from this individual, and her unmistakable British accent makes her easily identifiable. I'm inclined to believe this is some sort of scam.

On 13 July at about 10.44am, I got a call from the number 0114 697 2863, which is a Sheffield area code. There was no voicemail or message left. Looking at past reviews, it seems like this might be linked to an energy scam or something similar. I've been getting loads of calls like this lately, so I reckon it’s pretty much just harassing.

Got a call about some insulation stuff, and the woman claimed she was nearby. But she was actually over 100 miles away - when did that count as local? I pointed that out and she just didn’t know what to say. When I told her to take me off whatever dodgy list she had me on, she flat out refused. Proper cheeky.
