On the 11th of February 2021, around half past one, I picked up the phone only to be greeted by a pre-recorded voice. A woman on the line claimed to be representing HMRC. I ended the call immediately, as just a short while earlier, I’d been contacted by a chap from the number 02039745189, who insisted he was from HMRC and threatened to take me to court over supposed tax evasion. Naturally, I reported that incident to HMRC as well.
