Blocked another call from some life insurance lot, had enough of them now.

Got a call from this number earlier, some bloke going on about "life insurance" out of the blue - I never asked for any of this! They actually knew my name, which is kinda worrying, sounds like they got my info the wrong way. I just hung up straight away. Honestly, cold calls like these should be banned completely, and there ought to be proper penalties, maybe fines or even jail time for those running these call centres. They should stick to genuine customer service or helping charities, not pestering people. These random calls are just so annoying!

I got a call from this number, claiming to be from a firm called Here For Life, which they said does life assurance policy assessments. They told me they were checking policies to see if premiums could be reduced, supposedly because of financial struggles caused by COVID. When I asked why they needed to know the name of my insurer, they said they work with certain providers. I pushed them to name those companies, and it turned out mine wasn’t on their list.
