The number 0114 490 0014 claims to offer "Legal Advice", but like others said, it's an automated call with pre-recorded messages and ai responding to what you say, pushing you to confirm any accident you've had in the past 3 years supposedly "reported to them" so they can hand you over to their claims people (though they say they’re not trying to sell you anything). Really clever setup - at first I couldn’t even tell it wasn’t a real person.

I got a call about a car accident they said I was involved in sometime over the past three years. They asked if I’d been hurt and when I said yes, they wanted to know what injuries. I said deadly and they just cut off the call. I’ve decided to block the number now.

Typical nonsense about ‘any car crashes in the last 3 years’. When I said no, the woman rattled off a list of possible accidents - like slipping at work, falling over in a shop, the usual rubbish. So I told her, ‘You’ve got my details, you tell me because now it’s not about a car but a slip at work.’ She carried on waffling a bit, then I told her she’s breaking the Data Protection rules by keeping my number and calling me without my okay, and if she doesn’t delete my info, I’ll be sending my lawyer after her. Then I blocked the number. 😂
