Got a call from someone with a foreign accent claiming they’re from EE and that I’d qualified for a 30% discount. Felt off, so I ended the call and rang EE directly to double-check. Turns out, it was a scam.

I just got a call that sounded like it was coming from some sort of foreign call centre. The woman on the other end was mumbling in a language I didn’t recognise, then suddenly the line went dead.
