I received a call from someone with a distinctly foreign accent, yet they introduced themselves with a very British name. They asserted they were representing the "National Debt Helpline." Immediately hit that block button!

I got a call from an Asian gentleman asking if I had any debts and if I needed a loan. I told him I owed heaps to the tax office, and he ended the call straight away. Felt a bit shady to me.

I picked up and kept quiet for a bit, then the call just ended on its own.

Got a call from a woman with an East Asian accent who gave a typical British name. She claimed to be from the National Debt helpline and said that their files showed I was having trouble paying off a big debt. I told her straight up that I don’t owe anything and called her out on the scam. She seemed to falter and struggled to respond. I was certain it was a scam, but I worry that others might believe it and share their financial details. It’s really risky.
