Got a call saying I'd been in a car crash and there was a £4000 cheque ready for me. I told the bloke to just send it by post since he seemed to know so much. Ended the call and blocked the number straight away.

They kept ringing me loads, trying to make me believe I’d been in a car crash. But when I called back after just hanging up, it turned out they were some kind of electric and plumbing insurance firm, totally unrelated to car insurance or any accident claims. Proper weird!
