Got a call from a woman named Helen, sounded foreign, asking to speak with the business owner about some research and development grant. We’d already looked into it and knew we didn’t qualify. I explained we don’t do any research or development here, but she argued that the business name was misleading and said if we faced any daily challenges, we’d still be eligible. When I joked about overcoming the constant barrage of unwanted calls, she just hung up on me.
