Just got a call about some life insurance with Aviva - thing is, I don’t even have one. They were quoting my full name and where I live, which honestly freaked me out a bit. When I asked the lady to take my info off their records, she just sighed loudly and then ended the call. Pretty unsettling, if you ask me.

Loads of missed calls where they just cut off when I answer. I rang back and all I could hear was this loud buzzing, but no one talking. Definitely sounds like one of those annoying spam call centres. It's about time someone takes action and shuts these places down for good!

They've called me twice so far and each time I picked up, there was just silence on the other end.

Got a call from 01144075254, picked up but no one said a word. Could hear loads of background noise like it was another call centre. This has been happening quite a lot lately, around 4 or 5 times each week now.

Answered the phone and right away I could tell it was coming from some kind of call centre or office.

The person kept mentioning names I’ve never heard before - “Simon, Simone, Simon, how are you today?”

I told them straight up I have no idea who Simone is and to remove my number from whatever list they’ve got it on.

Only picked up since the area code looked local.
