Someone called asking if I owned the house and even knew my name. I told them they’d got the wrong number. I don’t understand how they manage to find your phone if you’re ex-directory! Honestly, something really needs to be done to stop these scams.

I've received numerous calls from these folk, so I finally decided to pick up the phone, just out of curiosity. They addressed me by name, which baffled me - how did they manage to get my number when I'm not listed and hardly share it with anyone? I told them they must be mistaken since I’m not the person they were after. Then they probed about whether I'm a homeowner, which gave me the impression it might be one of those dodgy insulation scams. Honestly, it’s high time these con artists were dealt with; I'm thoroughly fed up with their incessant calls. Unfortunately, my phone lacks a call-blocking feature.

This number has been ringing my landline loads today. I wish I could block it but my home phone doesn’t have that option. It sounds like a busy call centre and they keep messing up my name. I received a call from someone claiming to be affiliated with Amazon Prime, and since I wasn’t keen on renewing my subscription, I pressed 1 to go through with the cancellation. Next, I was connected to a lady with an Indian accent, who then transferred me to what she described as an executive assistant. Things took a strange turn when they asked me to log in to primesprt.webside2.me - it all felt quite dodgy, so I decided enough was enough and hung up. Now, I’m being inundated with calls from various numbers all over the world, and it’s becoming quite a nuisance!
