I received a phone call yesterday, the 24th of May, from someone claiming to represent the NHS concerning Covid vaccinations. Oddly enough, they then pivoted to inquire about my life insurance. I firmly told him where to go, asserting he was a con artist, and made it quite clear I didn't want to be contacted again. However, the very next day, on the 25th of May, I was hit with another call from that number 0115 7789619, this time purportedly from Nottingham. They rattled on about the NHS and Covid again, but I reiterated my stance and hung up without any further ado.

I received a cheeky phone call from someone masquerading as a representative of the Citizens Advice Bureau, claiming that I was struggling with some unsecured debt (which is absolute nonsense, by the way). They offered assistance under the pretence of helping me out. When I firmly told him to cease contacting me on my private number and that his lies were unwelcome, he then had the audacity to mention that the call was being recorded and that I could be in hot water for being rude to a government official! It’s genuinely unbelievable... though it's evident he was pulling my leg!

This time it was a proper person, not a robot, ringing up to see if I was on the right phone deal. She even knew my postcode, which was a bit surprising. But since the number she called was my work line, I asked straight away where she'd found it. She admitted it was from some marketing list. I told her it wasn’t a home number but a business one, and she said sorry before hanging up. Not too bad really, could’ve been worse!
