some bloke called saying he’d done some work on my place a couple of years back. he tried to offer me a discount on the house or something. i told him i wasn’t interested and hung up, but he kept ringing non stop. finally i answered and he started shouting at me for hanging up on him. totally rude and made me feel really uncomfortable.

Like a few folks mentioned before, I got a call from a bloke claiming his name was David, saying he did some job for me three years back. He was really pushy and cheeky, didn’t back off even when I questioned him. Ended up blocking the number.

I get calls from this number a bunch every day, at least three times. I've already told them I'm not interested since I've supposedly been picked for some home improvement scheme. Still, they keep on ringing nonstop.

My grandma got this call from a bloke named David who offered her a £500 voucher off some house repairs, saying his firm was setting up nearby. But the moment I answered the phone, the call got cut straight away. Definitely sketchy, sounds like a dodgy cold call to me. Probably just a cowboy trying to pull a fast one.

I got a call from 0114 386 5933 offering me a £500 voucher, saying I’d been chosen for it. I asked how they got my number and they claimed I’d requested a home quote a couple of years back. I did ask for a quote then, but definitely not with their firm. When I asked to talk to a manager, they just hung up on me.

This guy called up and claimed he'd chatted with me a couple of years back about some house repairs I needed. Pretty obvious it was a scam since I don’t even own that house.
