I picked up the phone and the person on the other end was talking about industrial injuries. They mentioned they thought I might have been in a loud workplace recently. I told them no, I’ve actually been in an office job for like twenty years. They then apologised and said they'd remove me from their calls.

So someone phoned and asked to speak to me by name, but when I tried to find out who it was, they just ended the call! The number was unknown.

Just got a call askin' 'bout me pension, I told 'em NHS right off. Then they says summat like "We'll sort it out" an' bam, they went an' hung up on me! Proper odd, that. Caller had a thick Yorkshire drawl, like summat from t'heart of Leeds.

Really creepy experience. They called me up using my current phone number but my previous address, then tried to check if my name was right. They asked about what kind of job I do, which made me think they’re some kind of identity scammers. Honestly, don’t ever share or verify your info with these lot. The caller was a bloke with a Yorkshire accent.

Just ignore the call and let it keep ringing! They didn’t bother to leave a voicemail so I guess it wasn’t anything urgent. From what I heard, 01143 is a fairly new code around Sheffield, and there’s a chance it’s from Virgin Media too.
