Got a call from some lot doing canvassing about different sales stuff. This time, they were pushing prepaid funeral plans.

i keep gettin calls from this number all through my work day, but when i try to pick up, there's no one there. after readin some other comments about it, i've gone ahead and blocked the number now.

Sounds like a total scam to me, and judging by the accents, I’d guess they’re calling from India. They pretend to be from “TalkTalk” (which kind of makes sense since those call centres are often outsourced). They tell you there’s an issue with your internet and push you to download some software to “fix” it. I rang TalkTalk directly, and they told me it’s definitely a con. If you go along with it, they’ll end up controlling your computer. Watch out!
