I got a message saying they were debt collectors coming to my home and asked me to ring a number. When I rang, they claimed I owed £1,200 something. I tried to pay some, but then they said the total had jumped to £1,800 because of extra fees they added! They offered to put me through to a national debt advisor by handing the phone to someone else. This new person asked for some basic info but stopped dead when I mentioned I’m with the police. After that, they kept apologising and said the debt wasn’t a big deal and promised they’d stop calling me. Then they just cut off the call. Honestly, these are just scammers!

Today I got a scary text from this number saying I've got a legal notice sent to my home. It warned me that if I don't act fast, an Enforcement Agent could be sent to my place and my belongings might be taken away by a Debt Recovery Agency. Felt really stressed about it!
