I keep receiving calls from this number at the crack of dawn, but I never pick up. I’ve always been cautious about answering calls from unknown digits or names. When my answering machine is activated, they don’t bother leaving a message, which my late wife often pointed out is a sign it’s probably not worthwhile. At my age, I’d strongly recommend steering clear of this one. Cheers, AB.

Received a call this morning from a woman with a thick foreign accent claiming to be from Windows, insisting that my email had been compromised. I told her I couldn’t handle it at the moment and promptly switched off my phone. A mere few minutes later, she was at it again, ringing me with the exact same spiel. I switched the device off once more. At 81, having already endured a stroke, I’m keen to avoid any further stress. Is there truly no way to put a stop to these nuisances?

I've received a number of calls from this specific number. Why not blast some tunes at full volume and place your phone on the speaker? It might just give them a right jolt of sound! - caller: 01143601694

I received a call from this number today, claiming there were issues with my computer. I immediately recognised it as a scam and notified the caller that I’d report his number. His response was to start making threats, so I decided to hang up. The number was: 01143601694.

Got a call from an Asian bloke named 'Michael' saying my computer was infected with a virus. I told him the only virus I had was the man flu and he was just wasting his time and mine. Also told 'Michael' he was a muppet before slamming the phone down. Surely one of the phone networks can track this number and pass the info to the police.

I received a call from this number today at precisely 11:57 AM, claiming to represent a computer firm. I firmly told the woman to back off and refrain from contacting me, as I'm already on the Telephone Preference Service list and shouldn't be receiving such calls. This company ought to be flagged for breaching government regulations. I'm inundated with these nuisance calls; I seem to be getting multiple calls every single day. I only picked up this time because I was anticipating a call from my doctor. At this rate, I may just stop answering my phone altogether.

The caller ignored my typical 'scam' response and claimed I wouldn’t be able to use my computer anymore. Complete nonsense. This needs to be cracked down on because less experienced folks might fall for it - clearly some must or they wouldn’t get paid, right? They really ought to be called out for this.

Got a call today from an Asian guy claiming he was from Microsoft, said my computer had some issues. I told him my computer’s fine and that this was clearly a scam, and threatened to ring the police. He just stayed quiet and cut the call straight away.

Oh dear, it's Microsoft again! Just the typical glitches, isn't it? Asking me to power up my computer and all that malarkey. Are these folks situated in Sheffield, by any chance? And seriously, can’t we just get rid of the lot of them?

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent claiming to be from Microsoft. I told him I bet he was gonna say my PC had some problem. That seemed to throw him off a bit and he got quite pushy. He threatened to block my computer so I just told him to go ahead and I’d stay on the line while he did it. Unsurprisingly, he ended the call straight away. Proper dodgy and easy to fall for if you’re not careful.

Received a couple of calls bright and early today from a chap named Daniel claiming he's with Microsoft. Despite me mentioning that my son is a software engineer and would be taking a look at the computer himself, he stayed relentless. No doubt about it, this is a scam. I'm clued up about these tactics, but it's truly alarming how these crooks prey on vulnerable individuals, like my elderly mother, who can be a bit too trusting. I really do hope these despicable operations get put out of business soon!

Received a call from this number earlier - the classic scam line claiming to be from Microsoft tech support. I quizzed him about my operating system, and he blundered his reply with the wrong one, which was a red flag straight away. Before long, his tones turned rather hostile, and he even tried to intimidate me by suggesting he’d block my computer. To throw him off, I casually inquired about the weather, but he unloaded a few choice insults and hung up. Caller ID showed a ‘Mike Thompson’.

Got a call from an Asian guy who told me his name and said he was ringing about my Microsoft Windows computer, asked if that was alright. I said yeah, then he just ended the call. Looks like another dodgy scam attempt! Not the sharpest, are they?

Got a call from a lady with an Indian accent claiming to be from Microsoft, saying my PC was infected with a virus. I told her I’m on the TPS and asked where she got my number from. She acted like she didn’t get it, so I told her to take me off her list. She just hung up. Doesn’t seem to stop though, as the same number keeps ringing anytime, day or night, usually with the same nonsense. Sometimes it’s even silent calls. There really ought to be a way to sort this mess out.

Had a bell at around 8:15 this morning from someone claiming to be Daniel, supposedly from Microsoft. I had to firmly tell him to do one! It's the third time I've been bothered by such calls this week, and honestly, it's becoming quite tiresome.

I've received numerous calls claiming to be from Microsoft, insisting it's all above board. However, I'm rather sceptical. They typically request that you log into your computer, guiding you towards a screen filled with alarming "warning" messages. Then they proceed to ask for remote access to supposedly resolve the issues. It's definitely a dodgy operation!

I just had a dodgy call from a chap claiming to be from Microsoft. He introduced himself as 'Steve Johnson,' which sounded a bit too much like a cliché character from a British sitcom. Definitely a scam - they always seem to have that same old script. Beware, folks!

I received a rather dubious call from this number, purporting to be from Microsoft. The individual on the other end insisted that if I didn't log into my computer whilst speaking to them, my device would stop functioning altogether. It was a chap with a noticeable foreign accent, perhaps from an Asian background. Quite unsettling, to say the least!

Got two calls today, first one at 7:55am - I told them it was a silly hour to be ringing. Second one at 10:28, some Asian bloke said my computer was showing error messages, asked him which one since I’ve got two, he didn’t seem to get the idea of having two computers. He just rambled on nonsense, so I told him to jog on. These scammers are proper dodgy and annoying.

Ring 10/11/15 around 3.45pm. Voice had a strong Indian/ Pakistani tone. Obvious Microsoft scam. Let him keep yapping, then told him the scam was ancient and called him a proper numpty before telling him to jog on. Number from Sheffield starting Tel[###]. Ofcom says it’s not assigned, but Vodafone’s name comed up (C&W). Vodafone helpline is 08080 408408, free to call.

I've been receiving calls from this number starting at around half past eight in the morning and then every few hours after that. I tend not to pick up unless the caller is familiar to me, so I’ve been ignoring these persistent calls. It's becoming quite a bother, to be honest!

I told him I didn’t have any problems and if I ever did, I’d ask my grandson who knows all about computers. Then I just hung up. These types of calls keep coming and I don’t get why, since my number’s unlisted.

This morning at half seven, I received a call purporting to be from Microsoft. I promptly ended the call. They wasted no time in ringing back, wanting to know why I’d disconnected. I explained myself and hung up once more! Since then, my phone's been buzzing with another two calls from that same number. It’s quite infuriating!

A man with a foreign accent rang my old dad, claiming his computer was hacked. Somehow, the caller got my dad to give a licence number for his computer, which made the whole thing feel real to him! They allegedly guided him through some steps to fix the issue! Watch out, these con artists are really convincing. I’ve told my dad to always check with a proper computer firm about anything like this now. Best thing is just to put the phone down straight away!

This morning, around 8 o'clock, I received a phone call from the number mentioned above. An Indian woman on the line claimed to represent a tech company, stating that my computer had been compromised recently. She requested that I power up my computer so we could address the issue together. I told her that I would consider it, but only if she first provided her full name, home address, and bank information. Please be cautious, everyone-this is definitely a scam! - caller: 0114 360 1694

I've been inundated with calls at the crack of dawn, around 7.30 am, which is rather annoying. Just the other day, I had a chat with an Indian chap who asserted he was from "Windows". I told him to shove off and hopped off the line, yet the calls keep coming in like clockwork! It's really quite infuriating.

Beware of this phone number; it's definitely a scam! I wouldn’t engage with them, as they are not genuine. They provided me with the number 02032869239 to return their call, which turns out to be a Cost Trap number that has been flagged repeatedly. It’s all a load of nonsense, so stay clear!

A man with an Asian accent called, his English wasn’t great. He said he was from Microsoft and asked if I was on my computer. I said yes, even though I wasn’t. He got me to press some keys and tell him what appeared, but I just said I saw a blank screen. Then he tried to fish out my bank details, mumbling something about a £1000 deposit into my account. I gave him made-up account numbers and codes. He asked where I banked, I lied and gave a fake place. Then he asked for my address; I started with a false one, but he must’ve already known my real name and address because he hung up!

Quite amusing, considering that we exclusively use Apple Macs in our home! Regrettably, I didn’t have the luxury of time to keep them on the line and lead them on for a good laugh. I received a phone call from a chap claiming to represent Microsoft. He mentioned that our security settings had been compromised and offered us a new licence key to restore everything. He introduced himself as Michael Jeffery Brown. Naturally, we thought it wise to involve our IT technician, but he refused, insisting that we must handle it directly with him. Oddly enough, he couldn't provide us with a contact number but promised a follow-up call. After conferring with our tech guru, we learned that this called for caution; it reeked of a scam. I made up an excuse and promptly ended the conversation when he rang back. Out of curiosity, we asked for his location, to which he responded with "1800 Cardinal Place, Victoria, London."

In my experience, when a bloke picks up the phone, he tends to drop the line pretty swiftly. But, funnily enough, when a woman is on the other end, they seem to be keener to stick around-especially if she plays a bit daft! I've had quite a laugh with characters like John Smith and Peter Jones. When they introduce themselves, I cheerfully respond, “Oh, naturally, dear!” Then I engage in a bit of a game, asking them to hold on while I pretend to juggle multiple computers. When I tire of the charade, I like to introduce my friend with the fancy accent, asking them if they believe in karma and mentioning how someone will likely try to con them out of their cash. I finish by telling them I use Apple products. It's all in good fun!
