Got a call about an automated G2A “activation code”. I use G2A a lot and usually get my codes by text, never through calls. The calls seem linked to logging into the account, so it’s not totally out of the blue, but still, I wouldn’t trust it since I’ve never had a call from G2A before and there’s no mention of phone calls anywhere on their website!

Got called thrice by this number. An automated message said it was from G2A, giving me a two-factor authentication code. I’m a regular G2A user but always get codes through texts, so this felt off. Got a text, followed by two rings and then a voicemail. Can’t fault them for their persistence! I've now blocked the number.

This number rang me up right after I was thinking about buying some bitcoin. After that call, I decided not to go ahead with it. The person on the other end spoke real weird, almost whispering, saying the code I got on my phone was for like 200 bitcoin from someone else’s wallet and if I wanted the cash, I had to sell my soul to the devil. I just told them no way, because there’s no devil. Who even buys into that kind of nonsense these days?

I’ve had three phone calls from this number in under five minutes, all regarding a verification code. Quite suspicious if you ask me!
