This number rang me twice but I usually don’t answer calls from strangers. Then I got an email from Connect Fibre, who a while back were knocking on doors around here trying to get folks to change their broadband since they’d recently set up service nearby. Looks like Voxbone SA might be taking care of their customer service stuff. So if they ask you to verify your address, it’s probably linked to a rep who visited your area offering the switch. Seems legit to me, not a scam or anything dodgy.

I got a call from a bloke who knew my first name, which threw me a bit, so I just ended the call straight away. After that, he ringed me back on my mobile about my internet deal or something.

I ignored the call cos the number looked unfamiliar.

Had a woman ring me up with a South African accent, trying to sell me cheaper broadband. She claimed to be with the Consumer Credit Association (which seemed a bit dodgy). She already had my full address and postcode and asked me to verify it, but I refused. As soon as I said no, she hung up. The caller ID showed a Sheffield, England number, but I reckon they were actually calling from South Africa using VoIP tech. This system lets them make calls over the internet so it looks like a local number, but it’s just a trick. Watch out, it’s definitely a scam. Blocked the number straight away.

Got caught out by TalkTalk lately, they keep sending calls and emails from what looks like legit blue-checked accounts but it's dodgy. They're ringing on both mobiles and landlines, which is pretty worrying. Feels like they got hold of some info from TalkTalk that they definitely shouldn’t have access to. I’ve reported it to the police on 01143521630 - just a heads up to everyone, watch out!

I've been inundated with a string of scam phone calls lately, with individuals claiming they could offer me a superior service while pretending to be from TalkTalk. Quite the nuisance, I must say!

Nearly fell for a scam today. Some bloke rang me claiming to be from TalkTalk, saying I had to upgrade my broadband because the charges went up. I told him I’d have to think about it and would call TalkTalk back later. Right after that, he just hung up on me. That’s when I figured it was all a con. What freaked me out the most was that he already had: 1. My full name 2. My home address 3. My personal phone number No clue how they got all that info, but it’s honestly pretty worrying.
