This morning, this number rang me up. When I finally got through, it sounded like some sort of automated message. They said something about no adviser being free at the moment but told me not to fret since it wasn’t anything urgent. Apparently, they said they'd ring me back later. They claimed to be from Info UK or something like that... no idea who they actually are.

I picked up the phone at my folks' place and the bloke on the line asked if he was speaking to my mum. When I said it was her daughter, he then asked if the people who lived there were around. I told the guy I could chat for them and asked what the call was about. He got all awkward and just said it didn't matter before hanging up. Pretty clear he wasn't keen on dealing with someone who wouldn't be easy to fool!

Got a call from 01143520752 around 11 in the morning, a young lass saying she was from uk property research. She knew my name and where I live, then asked if I owned the place. Then she said, "You sound quite well, but are you under 81?" I said no and she just ended the call! Seems like they're just after older people who might be easy targets. Honestly, it's horrible what they’re trying to do!

Got a call out of the blue today from this number, claiming to be UK Property Research. They talked about Private Sector Funding that could cut exterior repair costs by about a third. I said yes to a call back in ten minutes to get more details. The callback came from 0113 868 1475. I was thinking of setting up a visit just to do my own digging online first. Decided to cancel now!

Got a call from someone with a heavy Indian or eastern accent claiming to be about winter fuel payments - total scam targeting older folks. Another person who looked into this reckons the call actually comes from Sheffield Uni, level 6. Sounds like some dodgy foreigners have sneaked into an empty office there and are milking it. Brilliant. Tried ringing Sheffield police via the number on their website for the HQ and ops centre but after 10 minutes there was still no answer. Then I remembered, West Yorkshire Police got shut down, guess they weren't making enough cash. Same sort of uselessness round here in Humberside. What a waste. I even came across the Sheffield Police Brass Band's number and thought maybe they’d be more helpful. Oh, and if you’re a foreigner reporting a hate crime, they apparently turn up within five minutes. That’s the state we’re in now.

Got a call around 6.30pm tonight from someone saying he was Craig from UK Property ??? Didn’t let him finish and just told him straight up, "I’m not interested in talking to Craig from UK Property. Stop calling me and don’t ever call back." Blocked the number right away. Seeing the other comments here, I’m glad I didn’t waste time with him!

Sounds like the number’s dodgy, probably trying to pass off as a Sheffield one. I reckon the caller has got my landline number somehow. They had a UK accent but there was loads of background noise, so probably a call centre. They said they were from "UK Property Research" but hung up straight away when I said I didn’t know what that was.

This blasted number has been bugging us nonstop for weeks, ringing then just hanging up. We're already a bit stressed lately, so really don't need this kind of bother right now.

Just got a call, the guy was quite polite asking how I was and all that. He said he was from Housing UK Property Research, already had our name and address, then asked if the house was more than ten years old. I told him if he’s really doing research, he’d should already know that, and then he just ended the call.
