Got a call but when I picked up, there was nobody there. Pretty sure it was some sort of call centre.

They never mentioned what company they were with and wanted to speak to my ex-husband by name, even though we split up back in 2008. I told them their info must be wrong, and they said they’d take my number off their list.

I’m pretty sure I haven’t had a call from this number previously, but it felt just like the usual ones I get pretty much every day - dead silence and then they just hang up. I don’t bother calling back because I’ve got a decent answerphone set up, yet these annoying scam callers never leave a message or say anything to try and get a rise out of me. It’s all a bit pointless for them, but for all I care, they’re playing with fire - one wrong move and it might land them in front of a judge.
