Got a call from a guy with a heavy Indian accent, he said his name was Ryan. He claimed my computer was having issues and that my wifi router was sending error alerts about viruses. I asked what he meant, and he said I had to switch on my computer so he could fix it. I told him no way, I wasn't going to give him access since it was obviously a scam. Then his tone totally shifted; he started swearing at me and calling me rude names because I didn’t fall for the trick. Such cheeky behaviour!

Somebody rang me saying my computer had a virus and they could sort it out for me. I told them Microsoft never rings people up like that, but she just brushed it off. So I ended the call. Then, a minute after, they rang again - my husband answered and told them in no uncertain terms to buzz off. The number was 01143223787.

My phone went off and when I answered, all I could hear was muffled chatter from two different people before they just dropped the call. Felt pretty dodgy, like some kind of scam. Quite suspicious, made me think it could be a place teaching scammers how to pressure folks into signing up for shady stuff.
