They claimed to be from a utility company I’ve used before, but it all felt a bit dodgy to me.

Left a voicemail claiming to be from Utilita. I got in touch with them through their online chat on the website. They told me I supposedly owe them more than £350 from way back in March 2021. They promised to send the bills, which I've never seen before, but the file they sent was blank. I'm not convinced it's legit, but if it is, there’s no way I’m paying for something thats so old, especially when my current energy provider should’ve sorted that account by now.

The bloke asked me to verify my name, claimed he was from Utilita and used to be my energy provider. He said he had some data protection questions to check my info. I told him I wasn't sharing anything since the call was unexpected. He insisted they already had my info and just needed me to confirm it. I asked what was the reason for the call, and he said it’d be clear after I answered those questions. I told him if it was important, they should send a letter, otherwise I wasn’t saying a word. Then he just ended the call.

Got a call on my TPS registered mobile from someone claiming to be UTILITA, left a voicemail about switching energy suppliers. When I rang back, the number was blocked and they still said they were from UTILITA. Definately reporting this to TPS.

I always get two calls back-to-back from these numbers. I decided to call back today and ended up speaking to Utilita on 01143034878. Proper spam callers and really frustrating!! Blocked all three now.

Haha this place is a complete mess. After loads of missed calls and messages, I finally picked up. Rather than a proper intro from the rep, all I could hear was wild laughing like some sort of animals in the backgroud.
