They say they're from Utilita but this 0114 number is actually from Sheffield, while real Utilita calls usually come from 01246 in Chesterfield (or sometimes 0345 which is non-geographic). Someone rang saying they were from Utilitia and asked me to verify my account info so they could get into my account. I’m not a client of that firm and never have been. My energy payments are all settled and up to date with the company I’ve been with since 2015. I told them every time they call I’ll keep being rude until they leave me alone. Utilita are a major energy provider here in the UK, but for ages all their calls just go straight to voicemail. They managed to get me on the phone the other day but all I heard was their annoying voicemail message. When I tried blocking the number, turns out I already had - plus another from them as well. Proper persistent and a bit harassing. Might be worth reporting to Ofcom. Also, their green energy option is pretty poor, only 4% renewable, so I wouldn’t recommend them!

I've been receiving daily nuisance calls from this number, and it's becoming quite tiresome!

I've had like 8 calls in just one week, and every time they leave a voicemail about some switch to an energy company, saying it’s nothing to be stressed about. This isn’t even the first time I’m getting this same annoying message over and over again.

They rang me twice over the last couple days, plus a few more times before that. First time I answered, they said they’d left a voicemail but there was nothing there when I checked. Today, they called again and after a few moments, a woman asked if she was speaking to Mr Smith (not my name). I didn’t say who I was, just said no, and then she said sorry and ended the call. Honestly, what’s the point of all this?

Got a voicemail from some stranger just saying it wasn't anything to be worried about and that they'd get in touch again sometime later. No clue who it was though.

No clue who that was, saw it was a landline so I answered but they just hung up. I'm gonna block this number now.
