Received a call from this number - the bloke didnt answer straight away which made me think it was a call centre. Could hear people talking in the background. He called me by my first name - sounded like some guy down the local. When I asked who he was, he said he's with "RED STAR" so I just ended the call. Looks like just another firm fishing for PPI claims, very sketchy stuff. Don’t get caught up in their chat, they tried telling me I’d won some kind of “refund bundle” but it was really just a PPI claim form. They claimed to be calling from "Red Star" and oddly used my maiden name along with an address I haven’t lived at for over a decade. They then asked if I’d ever held a credit card with Barclaycard, HSBC or Capital One about 10 years ago. I said I couldn’t remember and they kept repeating the question. I stayed polite but clear that I didn’t have that info. Then they switched gears and asked who my bank was back then. I refused to say. They said they’d ring back. Definitely adding this one to my blocked list. Unlike others I’ve read about, this caller was actually quite polite.

I’ve told this PPI firm loads of times that I’m not interested in chasing my PPI, but since it’s quite a big sum, they just keep ringing. Now they’re even getting a bit nasty with me. The thing is, I'd have to get my ex-husband to sign off, and I don’t want any contact with him. I've explained this over and over, but they still call and act rude.

Got a call about checking up on my life insurance. The bloke was super rude, kept starting every sentence with "yeah but." When I asked for his manager, he snapped, "why, I ain't done nothing wrong."
