Today, I got a call from this number, and a lady said she was calling from the Daily Mail about a £5 digital subscription for three months. i got a call from someone claiming to be with the daily mail trying to sell me a subscription on the internet. i told them i wasn’t interested and they didn’t try to convince me anymore. but once i ended the call, i started thinking about how they even got hold of my landline number since i never give it out or enter it anywhere online.

I dont usually pick up calls from numbers I dont know. Most of the time its just annoying calls. If its important, the person will leave a voicemail, right? Otherwise, its probably someone trying to sell me stuff or those dodgy legal firms. Anyway, i've blocked the number now.

someone rang me and called me by name, claimed they were from the daily mail and offered the online subscription for £5. i told them no thanks, i usually just check it on my computer. dont know how they got hold of my number, i really dont appreciate those calls, especially since i already read the daily mail anyway.

Not long after, I got an email that looked legit from what looked like mymailaccount, which made me pause and get a bit wary. If you’re interested in their deals, I’d say it’s much safer to go online and grab the £1 offer for 30 days instead of trusting calls like this.
